In the last decade, one of the most noticeable changes in the industry has been the evolution of mobile networks from 4G to 5G. 5G networks promise ultrafast internet, something in the range of 100 times better than 4G networks. And, it won\u2019t be limited to smartphones. It will be integrated with smart cities, self-driving cars, and advanced IoT devices. Just like how <\/span>Glory Casino<\/span> is getting integrated in daily lives. For developing nations like Bangladesh, the arrival of 5G networks is both an incredible opportunity and an interesting mystery.<\/span><\/p>\n

This paper will try to tackle the phenomenon of 5G in Bangladesh, isolate the best 5G smartphones, and determine the necessity of 5G at the present time or the worth of postponing it.<\/span><\/p>\n

5G Availability in Bangladesh<\/b><\/h2>\n

The journey so far<\/b><\/h3>\n

In December 2021, during the 5G trial period in Dhaka and other limited cities, Teletalk completed Bangladesh’s first 5G trial. After years of work, this event marked the first step of progress in restoring the digital infrastructure of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

A number of large Bangladesh telecom companies, such as Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink have set the groundwork for 5G capable networks. However, the progress towards commercial expansion has not been vast.<\/span><\/p>\n

Current Coverage<\/b><\/h3>\n

By the year 2025, 5G coverage remains very limited in Bangladesh, almost exclusive to the major cities. These cities include Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Sylhet.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rural population and small towns still enjoy relaxed 4G networks, which are reliable, though, immensely slower.<\/span><\/p>\n

5G Widening Digital Gap<\/b><\/h3>\n

The “Digital Bangladesh” vision places 5G infrastructure in the same category as the spine, essential for the education and improvement of connectivity in the healthcare and smart industries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like most developing countries, the full-scale implementation of 5G still remains years away, along with infrastructure expenses and failure spectrum’s assignment system.<\/span><\/p>\n
